The fourth Vexilliad was held in the twin cities of Lynne/Myo Beach, Lamb's Cove, and are widely considered the first highly-successful modern games. They were also the biggest: 630 medals awarded in over a dozen sports to 49 participating nations over 16 days between August 17 and September 1st, 301ap.

Professionally organised, with regular updates to the world, the Lynne/Myo Beach Vexgames were arguably the first to make the media an integral component to the success of the games. An average 14 medal ceremonies were held each day.

In terms of total medal tally, the games were won by Estontetso, but under the traditional G-S-B tally, Westria won the games with thirteen gold medals.

The bidding process

The bidding for the 301 summer Vexgames included only two bids: the winning Lynne/Myo Beach bid, and one from Luka, Utania. Candidacies closed on November 19th, 300ap, and voting by national Vexgame Committees would take place between December 3rd and 10th.

Utania's Sports Minister officially announced a Luka-based bid for the 301ap summer games would be entered on September 22nd, 300ap. A single web-page detailing Luka's suitability for the games was made immediately available. The "Luka 301" website is available

On October 10th, 300ap, the cities of Myo Beach and Lynne, in the Lamb's Cove, announced their joint bid for the games
